Hi guys, today's post is just a quick one as I'm so eager to update you guys on some changes I made for my blog. Currently writing at 1:23am after finishing designing the new look and of course finally choosing a name for my blog title yay.

This was way back in 2017 where I mentioned in a post here that I wanted my blog to have a title and finally, it's here! I thought hard about choosing names for my blog title so I guess 'La Scrittura Street' pretty much okay for it, right? I cringed at first but after having some thoughts and hundred times reciting the name, I guess it is okay enough.

I had to thank Rasya for this actually because my brain started to function well in thinking hard about my blog title after she changed hers. Not to forget Jiha for still being awake at this hour, helping me brainstorming for ideas. Thank you, guys!

Anyway here's the chronology of obtaining my blog title; I wanted my blog title to be significant to me, introducing my identity and my love for writing. I had the dream to create a blog title since forever with these criteria in mind but somehow after noticing that Rasya changed her blog title, my brain started working vigorously for ideas and I came up with 'the Writing Street' at first, if any of you noticed. I chose 'Street' as a metaphor for 'Journey'. 

As a blogger, I had a sweet and sour journey with this page of mine and I wanted to cherish that in my blog title to remind me how much I've grown, how much I've improved my writing this whole time so yea, 'the Writing Street' aka a hipster name of 'the Writing Journey' or so I thought. When I asked Jiha's opinion on this, she said to change the part with 'the Writing' as it doesn't sound cool. As typical as I could be, I started to search for it in other language and I found that it sounds the coolest in Italian, 'La Scrittura'. Obviously, I didn't want to use full Italian words in my blog title teehee and 'La Scrittura' sounds great for a combination with the English word 'Street'.

So here it is, 'La Scrittura Street', oh please don't laugh. I'm still getting used to this new blog title of mine and I think I'm falling in love with it so I hope you will love it too.

I stumbled upon rant messages from students who were scolded by their lecturers on a submission day. They're art students, presented their proposals but then were disappointed as their hard work being torn and thrown away. As a young adult, they don't understand such acts by the lecturers so they rant about it on social media and even showing hatred towards them.

Some people might think that these students were so weak and fragile since they couldn't handle their emotion well and couldn't accept criticism for their works. But honestly, it's more than that. As an art student myself, I had experienced the same situation during my study days and yes, it was hard to think positive when it happened. I mean, who can accept it if the lecturer even proudly said, "we were paid to curse your works". The biggest impact was, I started to have low self-confidence as I mentioned in this entry(click). 

I may not am an educator but I was a student myself. I think that this whole 'I scold you to make you better' culture has got to go. We have to realize that the method to teach these students who are young adults isn't the same as to teach the adolescent or youngsters. Instead of educating by scolding, cursing their works and public shaming them, why not properly explain what actually are the things they needed to do, in a professional manner. 

The quote says it all. If we as an educator wants the students to respect us, we need to respect them first and "your works suck, you don't deserve to be in my class" is definitely not a respectful way to educate them. Here is another nonsense - I teach these kids the way my lecturers taught me. I'm sure not all of our lecturers taught us the same way, some were kind enough to not yell and public shaming us and we needed to take those attitude instead to be a better educator than our lecturers. I remembered loving my lecturers who didn't use harsh words and gangster attitude to teach me and hating those who were like that so yea, let's be the kind of a lecturer who is loved by his/her students instead of only full with hatred and fear.

Anyway, a professional kind of attitude towards students also varied by how the students' attitude is. No lecturers could stand it if their students were being rude. But seriously, I don't think there are that many problematic students in universities. Even the brutal ones turned to being good ones once they entered universities.

I never imagined being part of the crew during this General Election 14 (GE14). I was appointed to be one of the presiding officers for DUN N.27 Pasir Pinji. The people voting for DUN N.27 Pasir Pinji had always known to inclined to vote for PKR so there were no issues that complicated the voting process, fortunately, so I had a fun and overwhelming experience that I'll never forget.

I reached home around 9.00pm that voting day and I was eager to wait for the result, especially because I wanted to know whether it's a work day the day after or an off day. But since I've worked non-stop for more than 12 hours that day, I was so exhausted and couldn't wait for the result. I woke up at 6.30am and immediately watched the news through online websites.

I was so excited at the news of the historic moment, a reborn Malaysia with Pakatan Harapan (PH) took over Barisan Nasional's (BN) 61 years rule of the national front. It was an unbelievable moment and I believe, the youth of the 90's kids who voted for the first time was the main reason that the regime changed. This proven that the democracy rule we practice indeed is in the people's hand. Every party who competed to rule the government loves our country just as much and everyone wanted the best for the country but maybe we needed a change and that's what happened. 

It was an exciting moment to watch Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad sworn in as Prime Minister (PM) last night, making him the first PM to take the role twice and he became the oldest ever serving state leader in the world while Wan Azizah who was expected to be his deputy would become the first female Deputy Prime Minister in Malaysia. What a day to be alive to witness these historic events! PH is bearing a huge responsibility to prove to the people that they can do it since it's their first time winning the election. Let's give them time and together help our new government in building a better nation.

I never missed watching all Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies, Ironman, Captain America, Avengers, you name it. It's like I grew up watching the movies, watching the actors getting older and hotter. When I first heard that Avengers: Infinity War is going to be released, I was so thrilled and couldn't wait for it. I watched it on the third day of its release and damn the wait was 100% worth it.

Warning: I honestly trying hard to not spoil anything from the movie but I might. So read at your own risk.

The Plot

We could already guess what the movie is all about by just watching the trailer. The Avengers came together, united to defeat their strongest enemy yet, Thanos, trying to prevent him from getting all six infinity stones. Thanos was portrayed as someone who's quite fragile when it comes to love - for his adopted daughter, Gamora - and that was unexpected. I also didn't expect to have a mental breakdown for the first five minutes of the movie - my favourite character died and I cried a river. The final battle was held at Wakanda, unfortunately, so I hate that Black Panther died after he sacrifices his country to have the war.

Majority of people from Twitter said that they weren't satisfied with the ending but I love it. Not saying that I love how many of them died at the end but I love how truthful and not cliche the ending was. I mean, Thanos won the war so the ending with many died was necessary to fulfil Thanos's winning wish.

I love love love the cinematographic, especially when the team were fighting Thanos at the planet Titan, it was scenic! Every second in the movie was exciting and thrilling. It was packed with action scenes that were not boring at all, the funny scenes were still there but not too excessive like the movie Thor: Ragnarok. The movie was just so perfect and every second was worth to watch.

The Post-Credit Scene

Marvel movies always have two post-credit scenes with the first funny scene and the intense second scene. However, there was no funny post-credit scene in Infinity War and that broke my heart a little. Instead, it showed how Nick Fury hurriedly sends SOS message to someone before he died. As I didn't read the comic, I had no idea it was Captain Marvel until my brother told me and the news about her went viral on Twitter and Facebook. But I didn't expect Captain Marvel was a woman! Can't wait for the movie!

The Cast

I love how huge the casts are in this movie as all the Avengers were there except for Ant-Man and Hawkeye - where the hell that the guy went to? I love Captain America's new look with his sexy beard, I think he was the talk of the town. Thor's new haircut since the movie Ragnarok made him look so handsome which he deserved, I was so mad that he donning the long hair before this. But I don't agree with a blonde Black Widow, I loved her red hair and I think she should've stayed to that colour.

As cliche as it could be, every movie would've its negative side and it was the same with Infinity War. Too many questionable scenes but overall the movie was still lit and to me, it was the best movie of MCU yet. 

My rating: 9/10.
